Milwaukee Local Lumberjack Wins Competition

Rainer Shooter, a local lumberjack wins first place at Stihl Timbersports U.S Collegiate competition on Sunday July 29th.

“I honestly didn’t expect to win first at all. I told myself this is just another practice, except that there’s going to be more people watching. It wasn’t my first time chopping, and this is certainly not going to be my last time chopping” said Shooter on the phone after taking first place.

Shooter has earned his place in the semifinals Men’s National Competition next summer due to this win. He will also be an alternate for the Stihl Timbersports U.S International relay team in October, which takes place in Liverpool. Shooter also earned his right to compete at the rookie World Championship, where he will be competing against seven other rookies representing their respective countries.
