Flake drops A-10 bomb on constituents
Senator Jeff Flake is making the customary rounds of Arizona during D.C.’s summer recess, and on a rare trip to Southern Arizona, he dropped a bomb on the residents of the 6th poorest metropolitan area in the country. In one of the few free opportunities to hear from their senator, Tucsonans were told that the Air Force plans to phase out the A-10, which will result in an estimated loss of 5,000 jobs.

The parents, students, and alumni of the Mukwonago School District, which has used it’s Indian nickname for over a century, are celebrating Governor Scott Walker’s signature today on Assembly Bill 297. It will now take more than one offended person and a handful of supporters to kill school mascots.

A nationwide effort has begun to save the Air Force’s A-10 after Arizona Senator Jeff Flake revealed on a Tucson radio show that plans were in place to mothball the craft. Boots on the ground have joined A-10 pilots and crews to save the plane that has frequently saved them.

Air Force demands silence on A-10
The Air Force is clamping down on information about a recent report in which they are planning to mothball the A-10. According to family members of Davis Monthan Air Force Base, those in command have commanded that no one is to discuss the matter.
