Just days after Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan and Washington Senator Patty Murray cut a budget deal which cut the retirement benefits of America’s veterans, Chuck Wooten, Chief Master Sergeant, USAF (Ret), received an email from Ryan begging him for an “emergency end of the year donation.”

Flake drops A-10 bomb on constituents
Senator Jeff Flake is making the customary rounds of Arizona during D.C.’s summer recess, and on a rare trip to Southern Arizona, he dropped a bomb on the residents of the 6th poorest metropolitan area in the country. In one of the few free opportunities to hear from their senator, Tucsonans were told that the Air Force plans to phase out the A-10, which will result in an estimated loss of 5,000 jobs.

New Wisconsin law makes it harder to kill a school mascot
The parents, students, and alumni of the Mukwonago School District, which has used it’s Indian nickname for over a century, are celebrating Governor Scott Walker’s signature today on Assembly Bill 297. It will now take more than one offended person and a handful of supporters to kill school mascots.

Warthog fans rally after Flake revelation
A nationwide effort has begun to save the Air Force’s A-10 after Arizona Senator Jeff Flake revealed on a Tucson radio show that plans were in place to mothball the craft. Boots on the ground have joined A-10 pilots and crews to save the plane that has frequently saved them.

Mark it: November 18 is ‘Don’t Send Your Child to School Day’
On Monday, November 18, parents across the nation are being encouraged to participate in a nationwide peaceful protest of Common Core education standards by keeping their children home from school for the day.

On November 24, 2013, more than 100 people illegally crossed the International Border from Mexico one-quarter-mile west of the San Ysidro Port of Entry in the Tijuana River channel. The group advanced toward a Border Patrol agent positioned one-eighth of a mile north of the border.

An Arizona democrat candidate for governor has waded into the murky waters of racial politics last week, when he released a photo of himself with his face darkened to look more Hispanic. Fred DuVal, the presumed nominee for his the Democrat Party, said he wanted to show republicans that he’s a “good sport.”

Air Force demands silence on A-10
The Air Force is clamping down on information about a recent report in which they are planning to mothball the A-10. According to family members of Davis Monthan Air Force Base, those in command have commanded that no one is to discuss the matter.
